On The Path
Cerene feels a sense of purpose. Not knowing about her own family or anything out the forest, she has simply survived on her own. With an objective at hand and a companion at her side, she sets out to reach Castle Crestmoor.
The Great Forest, Cerene's home, is full of life. It provides flora and fauna. Fresh air and water. It keeps Caladria breathing. Its greenery is stunning. Rays of light seep through cracks and holes in the canopy. At any time, when standing still, water can be heard streaming, bubbling. Birds chirp, chipmunks chitter, and deer graze. In the light, specks of dust kicked up from the thick grass floor float and disappear in shade or darkness.
Castle Crestmoor is legendary. Stories of the ivory white Castle ring throughout Caladria. Throughout all of its forests, plains, and rolling emerald hills. A stone structure featuring four towers, large stone wall garrisons, a marketplace, and the best entertainment to be had in Caladria.
The Castle is home to The Elven King. Caladria has been without an acting King for many years. Caladria's lands have not turned dark, as strong individuals with severed ties to the King took charge and made sure Caladrians were taken care of, in absence of the King. They are known as, the protectors of Caladria.
Aiches, Guardian of The Great Archives. Balmor Orian, a dwarf barbarian. Henry Killian, The Bard of The Sacred Realm. Milandra Kass, stories tell she is as beautiful, as she is cunning. Relanor, The Wizened. The sixth protector, Zila, a dark elf who watches over the dead and damned.
Castle Crestmoor and The Elven King fell to a dark power. A dark power never straying from outside the walls of Crestmoor. The city of Crestmoor, aged, decomposed and turned lifeless within days. Black brambles grew around the castle towers, lined the city's walls, and serve as a barrier for whatever stays within. No one has been to Crestmoor since the King's corruption.
This is Cerene's destination. Her life is to serve the land of Caladria and save the King.
